    Gestetner DSM620d Gear Noise and stop the machine

    Hi,

    First, thanks to all members to take time to help in this forum, I really appreciate all comments and post.

    I have a customer with a Gestetner dms620d, they said that the machine run 300 to 350 copies and a gear noise appear, then the machine stops and it don't do anything, just display. They turn it off for couple hours and then turn it on again and the machine runs again. This happens only when the try to run volume copies, like 300 or more.

    No error codes appears and no massages in the display.

    Machine total page count 204,857

    Any suggestions abut this failure rare failure?

    I saw the machine running but with small quantities of copies at a time.

              x2 on the developer gears. Replace the whole dv unit. There are gears in the upper or PCU unit but the dev unit gears usually go first. This machine is too light duty to be running 300 in one shot l
