what is your opinion about Ricoh 3D manuals? Many of my senior technicians are not happy with them

I hate it, plain line diagrams are much easier to follow. They look as though the unit has been stripped and all the parts left lying around.I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. ~Thomas EdisonComment

I do not care for them at all. I find them extremely dificult to locate the smaller parts.
I actually think that this whole rage of everything (movies, television,parts manuals) going 3D is ridiculous. Maybe I'm becoming a crotchety old man like my old man, but I value my own opinion...LOLComment

I find them tough to use too, but from their point of view it probably saves them a lot of money by using the engineering CAD files and not paying someone to convert and label everything. I'll be happy when they add voice command, just say the part and let it pop up with (hopefully) the right item.Comment

Ah, yes the 3D catalogs. What a joy to navigate, not. Absolute crap, looks like someone said, "Wow, we have theses CAD files, maybe we could save a few bucks and just use those!". Did I mention they are crap? I might have read that somewhere...Comment

They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.Comment
