Have you tried updating the firmware?

Did you saw the printer driver properties?
      Maybe User codes authentication...

It sounds like they have a corrupt print job in the queue that needs to be cleared. Disconnect the device from the network and print to it from your laptop. If all goes well, plug it back into their network, if it hangs then the onus is on them to clear it out. It wouldn't hurt either to update the firmware too, as totoro suggested. As far a user authentication, if the driver providing the print job doesn't have the correct code then the job should just disappear. You may want to turn off user authentication and test it that way first.

Firmware has been upgraded. I agree with the corrupt print job idea but they are using mostly macs and they ‘claim” there is no such thing as a corrupt mac print job.

Are you sure there is a PS option in the machine? If you print the printer config page out it should show it in the top section. You can also use Gutenprint for using PCL drivers on non PS equipped machines, but it's not supported by Ricoh.

And what a load of crap that is!
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

              Hit it.

Much like the old saying Macs don't get viruses!

Try doing a Job Reset for all jobs from the op panel in printer mode, or try clearing the printer settings in SP. Also make sure that Error Reports are turned on in case there's an issue with a job that keeps screwing the machine up: that way you have something to go on with which side of the machine the issue is on. If it's a continuous problem, maybe also allowing Auto Continue would be a good idea.

Also make sure the PostScript firmware is up to date along with the printer firmware.
