[Jamming] Ricoh MPC6000 Code 144 jam with SR 5000 Finisher

Hi guys, got a werid one on this venus kitted with gbc stream punch 3 & SR5000 finisher.
Finisher all works fine, staples, etc until you use A4R paper then it jams every time just as the paper enters the staple tray & shows jam(code 144).So far I've changed the the staple entrance /prestack & staple tray senors-no change, thinking the board next, but all other paper sizes work-any thoughts? Finisher firmware & copier firmware are up to date, cant find any gbc firmware on tessa

Hi, came across your post and wonder if you found the solution to you problem, I have the same problem on a MPC6501 with the same finisher using letter R size paper. I have tried with A4R with the same problem as yours. It is a timing problem, I have replaced the SR main board with no success. If I set the tray to A4R and put Letter R paper, things work, If I put A4R, I need to trim 10mm and it works. I have tried/check sensors, belts, bearings and motors. The only thing I have to tried is to replace the 2 motors which need the special kit. Would appreciate any feedback.

    Regards,

Have you fitted the finisher adapter kit?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Hit it.

Yes, the machine was working previously and then the jam 144, I am thinking of replacing the 2 motors in which the kits attach to.

I never found what was causing this problem, I had to exchange the finisher and the problem was solved. I will test the old finisher on a MP9000 B/W, will let you know the results.

I think I found the problem, the lower jogger fence had come off it's lift belt ,page 49 of the SR5000 manual

Before changing the whole finisher, I have interchange the whole stapler assembly (joggers and all) and had the exact same problem. There is a timing problem between the entrance to the finisher and the exit of the stapler entrance sensor. Try this, do the exact copy function in thick paper mode and let me know where it jams. When I tried that, the paper would stop inside stacker unit. I let your know how my finisher is going to react on the MP9000 B/W.

Have you fixed your problem completely?
