    cl 7000 firm. upgrade

    Hi friends, good afternoon.

    I want your ipinion about a firmware upgrade in a old cl 7000.
    I have one, and wanted to know if it's worth upgrade the firmware.
    If yes, as i can get information and the files for do it.

    i m work more with sharp copiers, thank you for your help if possible.

    This machine uses a PCMCIA flash card for firmware updates which means you have to have a computer with a flash card slot and use Ricoh Memory Card Explorer to write the data, which is bin files. If you're not having problems with the machine you might consider just letting it go. This is an old machine.

      Hi there!
      "never change a running system!" The problem is told by mikadonovan, in germany you have a realy great problem to find a compatible cardreader for PCMCIA-cards (no new ones & e-bay sucks for eletronics) . If you have no greater problems with the machine, let it running as it is. The most problems we have are: transferbelt-cl-blade & transfer-BIAS-roller worn out, the polygonmirror is dusted.
