    [Jamming] MP4000 ARDF Jams

I'm troubleshooting an intermittent ARDF jam issue where a quarter of the leading edge of the paper exits the ARDF and then jams. The SMC report shows jam code 006 (registration sensor) but it still jams after replacing the sensor.

Next, I did a free run to determine if it was a mechanical issue and sure enough, it jammed! I'm sure at this point I need to focus on something mechanical, but need to nail the issue instead of throwing parts at it.

You changed the usual suspects, i.e. sep roller and torque limiter?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

I could try that but last sheet in the top of the ARDF is always bunched up as though something further down is impeding it's path.

Clean the 2 non reflector patches on the bottom of the feeder. One is right before the glass on a small metal bracket held on by 2 screws, the other is on the exit side on the black plastic assy with the glass exit idlers on it (one screw to remove).

Samir: No, not again. I... why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam? I swear to God, one of these days, I just kick this piece of shit out the window.

Plus theres one on top under the jam cover where the reg sensor shines into, it is a black hole and collects paper dust. Just blow it out.
