Ricoh CL3500 N using too many disposal tanks

My client has one of these and is complaining about the waste bottle filling up too often. The current firmware in the machine is: [1.03 / G1395941C], Engine [20501700], NCS [4.17 / G1395932]. All help will be greatly appreciated. Also if the fix involves the upgrading of the firmware, could I please get a full set of instructions as well the new files? Thanks

You have the most current that matters (System and Engine). There is nothing newer after Sept. 2008. If the prints are normal, there is really nothing wrong. The bottle will fill depending on rate of usage - specs are 36K b&w or 9k full color, but expect less. Also, customer has to reset the Maintenance Counter when replaced. Saying that, if the customer is in the habit of completely shutting off the printer every night then every time it is booted up it will go through a process control/calibration. This will use toner at a higher rate then just leaving it on and let it go into a sleep mode. One other thing, if the customer is just cleaning the bottle out, then the area at the top right of the bottle may have a coating of toner left on it, fooling the sensor into seeing a "full" bottle.
