I have an Aficio 2027 full multifunction which churn out full black copy even when taking internal meter reading from the copier. Already tried to change PCU, BICU board and power supply board but the result is the same. I welcome suggestions to overcome this problem. Thank you.

Re: Ricoh Aficio 2027 Copy Black
Ive seen this on a # of ricoh models and i have to agree with the other 2 techs. make sure the contact points are clean and that they ARE going to make a solid contact with the pcu. inspect the HV board in the rear and make sure it is solidly grounded and has the appropiate input voltage or just swap it out if you have a spare. I know they had a mod for the 1035/45 and later versions where you literally add a big grounding plate to the hv brd. Good Luck with this one.

Re: Ricoh Aficio 2027 Copy Black
Give the PCU shaft a blast off with IPA then put a little bit of grease on it, might be sticking. It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

Re: Ricoh Aficio 2027 Copy Black
If PCU is new, then you might wanna check the spring on the copier body where it gives charges to the main charger. As Venom mention, bad contact.
I've encountered this problem on AF200/250/220/270 when my ex-boss goes on servicing this copiers. He somehow either make the spring broken or disappear.
Try something simple before swapping all kinds of boards. Re-trace your step after servicing these copiers. Usually is just a small matter.
Er...but I haven't had this problem on Af2027 yetsigpicComment
