[Misc] Ricoh Aficio AP3800C Memory RAM Upgrade

    Hello,

Right now my Ricoh AP3800 says it has 192 mb of memory.

After doing some research, I'm under the impression that the system can support the following:

    Maximum Memory: 384MB
    Memory Slots: 1 Slot
    Non-removable base memory: 128MB

So, my system has 192 MB currently, I can assume that mine has a 64 mb module installed already (192MB - 128MB of Non-Removable = 64MB).

    So, if I add a 256 MB module that will give me a total of 384 MB (256 MB + 128MB of Non-Removable = 384 MB).

    Does this sound right?

Also, the required type of memory is 144pin PC100 SDRAM SODIMM? Is this correct? If so, I can purchase this at Staples or Wal-Mart.

My next question is, where is the memory module located in order to change it? I've looked in the service manual and see nothing.

Any hints on how to change the memory? Thanks.

Next too your bypass tray at the rear of the machine theres a box with RJ45, take out two screws one on the top and one at the bottom of the box, Big size screw heads, pull out the controller board your slots located at the top of the board will be fitted with a 64Mb and 128Mb ram replace the 64Mb with 256Mb PC100
sigpicWe can all Win, but at the end we all loose. Save the greyhound
