Lanier LD 335C (Ricoh3235) - Diagonal Stripes on Black copies

Hello, I am new to this forum and require some assistance.

Our LD335C has approximately 330,000 copies / prints

The Yellow, Majenta, and Cayen, all print perfectly, however, when printing a black page, the top 3" is fine, but the remainder of the page has diagonal fading / stripes.

We had this problem 20,000 copies ago, and replaced the black developer unit and drum and the problem was solved. I am not convinced it is the developer unit, as it should last more than 20,000 copies.

    Your thoughts are appreciated.

Pretty well known issue with this model, the Black dev clutch has failed (it doesn't disengage and the dev is pulled out). You will need to replace it (might want to do all 4 to save future grief, the color clutches can fail too). Here is the tech bulletin regarding this.....

      teebee1234, thanks for the information.

Do you happen to have or know where I can get a basic schematic or instructions to replace the dev clutches?

Also, it appears that the cayan test page has a horizontal line approximately 3" from the top of the page which happens to be the same distance where the black page starts printing the faint lines. Do you think the cayan dev clutch is causing this or is there anything else we should look at?

Please take a look at my attached test copies.

      Thanks

teebee1234 is correct definatly dev clutches ive had this problem many times, i would take teebee1234 advice and replace all Dev clutches. Ive replaced K dev clutch then i got a callback 1 month later cause the cyan dev clutch failed.

The white line on the cyan sky shot looks like a charge roller issue or it could be a damage cyan devs mag roller.

Dev clutch part number AX200 273

Indeed, don't try this yourself, you'll severly fuck the machine up if you don't know what you're doing.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

            Hit it.

Like the others have stated, we can point you in the right direction but we can't jump in the car and drive you there.
