    3228c Bypass Jams

I have a strange problem with the bypass on a 3228c no matter what paper I try and no matter how it goes in LT/LTR even legal does the same thing. It does it copying and printing.

The paper will go in and just stop like the machine was expecting a different size paper. I can open the right side panel and close it and it will spit the "jammed" paper out.

This is the first time they have ever used the bypass and I'm not sure if there even is a setting they may have changed to make the bypass only look for a particular size paper.

    Any ideas?

    TIA

Select bypass tray then push the # button to set paper size and thickness.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

This model has a size detection board that can fail and cause bypass jamming.

Samir: No, not again. I... why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam? I swear to God, one of these days, I just kick this piece of shit out the window.
Michael Bolton: You and me both, man. That thing is lucky I'm not armed.

Hey sorry for not replying, I didn't get the email that says there were new replies. I'm going out there on Monday again. I'm thinking there may be a loose cable connection. Thankfully they don't use the bypass. I'm just curious about it. (I can't help myself)
