    Need to INCREASE the copy counter - No I'm not try to cheat

    Hi,
    I have a 2045e, which has caused me a lot of grief. Anyways over the course of changing boards, when I replaced the controller board, I used one I had in the shop.
    Well of course now, my serial number is wrong and so is my copy count.

    I know 5811 under ssp will change my serial number, but my counter shows 408k, but it would be 1.487 million copies.

    I've put in the original NVram and I still have the wrong serial and counter, I know there is a master. Is there any way to increase the counter?

          So I have to use the mechanical counter from here on in?
          It's almost like the machine is not reading the NVRAM or something. What a pain.

              Oh its reading it alright. But it is designed so that you cant modify the total counter at all, not even in factory mode.
