I placed a Ricoh 2090 on a rental and am trying to activate the key counter for account billing. I can enter and see the users, but cannot find where I activate the requirement of entering the user code before startring a copy job. I checked to service modes and user guide and have 2 additional gray hairs associated with this problem.

It sounds like you aren't trying to activate a key counter but rather enable user codes, is that correct? You want the users to have to input a code to use the machine?
You enable the user codes thru User Tools/Counters->System Settings->Administrator Tools tab-> User Authentication Management. You will then select the functions you wish to require a code to use (printing, copying, etc). You will also have to give the user codes the rights to these functions.the savin2535 is displaying well bet the hiter lamp is not shining and the lamp had been tested o.k.please kindly help.Samir: No, not again. I... why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam? I swear to God, one of these days, I just kick this piece of shit out the window.

Plus, remove a small little cover near to the top of the right side of the machine and remove pull out a jumper to activate your user code programing, to keep your jumper safe for your user disabling take some tape and stick it to the back of the cover you took off, then put the cover back in place. "Remember do this with the machine power turned OFF"
(Man, I haven't seen one of those in ages!)
