[Misc] calibrating toner concentration supply to developer

my machine toner supply is high and i want to lower the amount of toner supplied to copy originals
please guide me about best ways of lowering toner supply

my TD sensor go to failure and i set toner supply mode controlled by Image pixel count

    thank you

We are no sidekicks here so it'll be great if you reveal some more informations about the model you are talking about.

    Some general hints:

    - image pixel count is only made for temporary use
    - some machines can permanently lower the image density if you create black copies (without the tonerbottle/hopper) until you think it's OK and perform both TD sensor and ID sensor init afterwards - that, of course, requires a healthy TD sensopr and PM parts

Unfortunately that kind of adjusting doesn't work for some (mostly newer machines) like I have the same problem "vice verse" with the MP5000 series that does look very pale in the blacks. If I perform manual toner add plus TD sensor initialisation the black loos excellent but after a short while the process control brings the machine back to the initial density (or even below that^^)...
