    SC 992 and 670 codes

Hi everyone, could use your help again. I had a call on an aficio 2022 that was dead. She said it started with a sc 670 code and when she turned it of and back on it never came back on. I replaced the sbcu board first, no change. I replaced the power supply board, now it comes on but displays a sc 992 code. Turning it of with the op panel switch and back on turns off the wrench and code but stays on please wait mode for about 5 min and finally changes to sc 670. Tomorrow I will reinstall the firm ware to see if that takes care of it, am I going in the right direction or am I missing something? Thanks for any help

Have you tried a *# reboot? Does this still have a memory DIMM even though it's a walkup only?

clean the contacts of the DIMM and prepare for a controller or SBCU replacement.

No HDD installed, guess that narrows it down. You dont think reinstalling the firmware will help?

No, but for the price of a controller, its worth a shot.

I found a used controller board and that did the trick, thanks. I dont know why this copier was dead to begin with unless both the controller and ps boards had a problem, but the account is happy know and that means Im happy....time for a drink!
