[Misc] MPC2030 and NIP Test failure

Anyone ever been able to execute the NIP test on a MPC2030?

I've tried on two different machines and the result is the same: I press "Execute" and the machine doesn't do anything.

    Any tips?

Have you adjusted the pre idling time or stop time for the adjustment? Is there a problem you're trying to resolve or is this a curiosity itch you are scratching?

A colleague of mine is trying to troubleshoot a quality problem with one of those MFPs and he's suspicious of the fuser. He tried the fuser NIP with the result I told above. Out of curiosity we tried on another different 2030 and the result is the same.

The main reason of this thread is to know how to do the fuser NIP - I'm not following the original problem anymore, it probably is solved already. I just don't have an answer for this one, hence this thread.

I haven't played with the adjustment before, but I noticed it was there. I haven't had the joy of rebuilding one of these fusers yet, so I haven't. No I feel a need to try it out...

I'm only suspicious of fusers when they start hanging around my lady friend...

I might be wrong, but try setting the value of sp1109-1 to 1>execute>then go into copy mode from service (don't exit service mode) and make a copy. I seem to recall an older model that this was the procedure.
