Scan to Folder with a Windows 7 OS

I followed the procedure given by the NRGI post on how to configure SCAN TO FOLDER with a WINDOWS 7 OS but still it don't work. Am I missing something? Does anyone had experience with the same problem? Please help. Thanks.

If the PC has Windows Live Essentialson it, remove it. Have seen this a few times now. Also, do not put the destination folder on the desktop; this too can cause issues.
Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

Depending on the model, you will need to do a firmware update....

You might need local login credentials to access the folder. I've had a few that I needed to create generic scan accounts on the local machines to have access to the folders.

that's correct - microsoft did some changes with the SMB protocal that's why you might have issues with older models/fw versions. I'm afraid that some discontinued products won't work with scan-to-folder/win7 at all (you can still use scan-to-ftp then).
