Input the IP address, and then manually assign "generic PCL XL" driver -especially if postsript is not installed on the copier.

Today I heard something about a Mac-update and after the update the computer was not able to communicate with the machine.

Eric is right. OS X 10.6.8 has an issue which essentially pauses the print queue by hosing the backend processing done by CUPS. This is the second big issue with Macs and printing in the past few months. There was an update released a few months ago which hosed processing of ITF fonts to certain printers causing anything using them to come out as jibberish.

So much for Steve Jobs and his quality control. Try running Software Update and see if it pulls anything that helps.

I've had the same issues recently. I've started adding drivers from GutenPrint with 100% success rate to this point. Give it a shot if it's completely down. The bonus to this is that it allows printing to machines that do not have PostScript options installed.

Sorry I’m not real Mac savvy…..but I thought there where no Mac drivers per say. I just type in the IP address. Or are you talking about PPD’s?
If there are drivers whats the procedure to load them?
