    Fax Receiving MP C2550

    Guys, I have MP C2550 which gives a humming sound during reception.I can see on the panel display that there is a receiving fax but it does not print.It fails immediately and after some time receiving fax come again with a connecting tone and humming sound.It goes again and again but no fax received.Transmission is ok.Only receiving is a problem.

    Any ideas about this problem?

    Is the machine connected to a PBX? Maybe the incoming line is faulty? If possible, try connecting the machine to a direct line.

      There is only one line available in the customer place.I am not aware whether that line is connected to PBX or not.Perhaps I need the assistance of the cabling technician who installed the line.

        You can also try to dial the faxnumber with your cell phone. Maybe you hear some unwanted noise or something.

            noise on the line. problem from your provider.
