eCopy scanning doesnt work after replacing the system box on an MP7000

Hi All: The entire system box (Main controller, IPU, Motherboard, Dimms)was replaced on an MP7000 (to fix an issue with artifacts on the copier) but now the scanning doesnt work anymore.
The scanner is a seperate ecopy/equitrac workstation. Clients can still log in to the system (Eclipse) but when they try to scan (eCopy) a message "check scanner and options" appears. Have re-booted both systems and checked cables.
Have checked SMC reports old + new but no SP modes are different.
Whats original in the new system box are the Hdd, NVRam, Network card, all 3 SD cards (system, PS and Java). The Java seems to be up and running and network printing ia also OK.
My last resort may be to install the original Main Controller to see but i dont want to do that yet.
Any ideas will be very much appreciated and thanks!

Install and configure the MP7000 TWAIN driver on a client pc/laptop and try scanning using MS Office Tools o Word plugin.

If this is succesful the fault lies with the Ecopy sharescanstation. Logging out of the Scanstation Client, reconfiguring the TWAIN driver and applying the change to the Scanstation Admin utility and relaunchng the Scantation client should resolve the issue.

If Twain scanning fails the issue lies with the MFD.

There is a very high probability that the Device ID for the MFP has changed, so eCopy ScanStation is no longer licensed, in which case it won't work.

Your best bet would be to call eCopy tech support and explain the situation. I would imagine that if you are under an M&S (Maintenance and Support) agreement that they'll get you set up. If you don't, you may be in for an uphill battle.

Bring your old box back and troubleshoot for the image problem swapping one component at a time. Most likely your problem will be the memory dimms or the IPU.

Update - the scanning now works. The issue was fixed by matching the host names, thats all it was. Thank you to all for the replies.
