Have you checked the development motor for black?

if blank copy and the machines keeps on asking toner(black) you can check the dev't clutch located behind the devt motor.

Urgh, I hate Athena's when they do this. Find the birth certificate in the front cover of the machine and do an Engine memory clear. You'll need to replace all the toners in the machine and switch off the independant toner supplied set message. Re-input all the non-default SMC data and it should be sorted. If that doesn't work, then as rsyarcia says it's new dev clutch time.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

            Hit it.
