    Ricoh Fax L3900

Machine must have had a power surge hit it. Machine counter went to zero, cassettes are reading A4 or A5 , scan copies are shifted over about and inch off the page, screen words was in spanish?

Owners manual did not give me any help.

Service factory reset is what I need to do ?? Anyone have that info they could share or what do you suggest.?

    Thanks for any help.

PS, how old is this unit if you know?

    It's pretty old (8yrs+).

Sounds like the power surge has already cleared the NVRAM where the settings are stored.
Assuming nothing is fried it would need to be setup and configured again.
But it's not something I can talk you through as I think I would struggle even if the machine was sat in front of me.

      Well thanks for responding Cipher.

Ya I looked on the back of the machine and it was manufactured in 2002. almost 10 years old. I'm going to push him into another machine unless someone gives me a easy fix in the next day or 2..

PS, Do you know you kinda look like a frog?? LOL.

Yeah looking frog like would be a improvement to that just rolled out of a ditch look I have most mornings.

Small fax machines are pretty cheap nowadays (throw away society).
The only problem is your be lucky to get a current model to last 3yrs+ let alone 10yrs+.
They just don't build things to last anymore (there is no money in it).
