    busted power supply of ricoh aficio 1035

    hi, i would like to know the cause why the power supplies of my ricoh aficio 1035 gets busted. i already have 10units of busted power supplies. and what's the solution?

    If you've had that many power supplies blow I'd say it's bad power being supplied to the machine. Does the fuse in the plug blow (if you have them that is)?
    It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      actually the 10 units busted power supplies comes from different af1035 including af2035 and from different locations. some even have the ic fa5316 busted (cracked) on the power supply. others have busted resistors and transistors (fet). i have units that has automatic voltage regulator servo type but i still have cases of busted power supply. i already have plenty of machines on standby because of this problem. please help.

          Although this is a long shot, any chance these machines have newer HDD's installed (over 120G)? There is an issue with the current draw that can caused failure of the power supplies using too large of a HDD (1 amp from a 20G versus 2 amps from a 120G). Attached is an infotoon from Ricoh describing this as an issue....
