Ricoh Aficio 2022 Won't Come to Ready

We have a Ricoh Aficio 2022 in the field that will not come to ready--it also will not recognize commands on the control panel--any ideas?

Hard drive. Try removing the current drive and see if the machine boots.

Agreed, disconnect the HDD, and boot the machine, this will isolate the problem and get the customer (mostly) up and running if you don't have a replacement... only scanning, will not be available, and a few copying features.

I think it's a 20Gb on board, but I've replaced with up to 80Gb. I'm not sure if there's a limit or not, but I don't think it matters.
It's hard to find anything under 100Gb or more now anyway

You will have to run SP5832-1 to format the new HDD once installed, and unfortunately the address book for faxes, and scan destinations (if applicable), will have been lost.

I formatted the same hdd with fat 32 and now the message (please wait ) is gone but the machine wont to start print mode what i have to do

Your post seems to imply to me that you formatted the hard-drive elsewhere, and then installed it in the machine. Correct? If so, that will not work. You need to Format it on the copier itself, in service mode, as described above
