E44 is a firmware update error for the controller module according to SM.

If you are not trying to update the firmware just take the SD card out of slot 3.

If you are, try selecting and updating just the 'Network Support' module on it's own.
If that does not work it may mean one or more of your .fwu files are corrupted on the SD card.
Re-download them from the website and try again.

format the sd card and load fresh files. also try to boot from the sd card, turn on sw 1 on controller with card in and power up.
