Aficio 3235c with fax option

In this m/c, incoming fax messages have been forwaded to an e-mail ID which has been programmed for scan-to-email.Now this forwading function is working, but the end user gets only the link of URL of webdocbox foler of the webbrowser, where we can get the faxes.But why the incoming fax is not coming as an e-mail attachment?

Not 100% sure but I think that's how they intended it to work for forwarding faxes to email to be honest.

Basically it's 'Scan to URL' for faxes, the light weight alternative of 'scan to email' by using the document server as the storage location of the files.

Which kinda makes sense from a exchange server administrative point of view.
But pensonally I've never liked the idea of customers documents being stored off the customers own servers.
HDD failures are bad enough to recover from let alone telling the customer all their faxes and scans are gone.

But I agree you should be able to choose the specific delivery method for yourself, but I cannot see a setting or a bitswitch to change this.

Three questions for you Toshiba,
-Where did you enable the fax forwarding to e-mail??

-Do you really want to forward the faxed to an e-mail or a group of e-mails??

- Is the IT guy Ok with that??

Well here is your answer: you have to disable the "Send URL Link" you can disable this by going to "User tools" "Scanner Features" "store file e-mail method"

and for forwarding faxed to and e-mail address you need to go to "User tools" "Facsimilie features" "Send settings" and then Enable "Fax Forwarding"

Once you enable it you have to select the destination under email or sometimes it says Ifax but you must have the destination already setup in the address book.

I solved the problem with your help. The settings in scanner features-send settings-store file type-send and store enabled.
Thanks a lot. and the URL came due to email notification for received faxes enabled at fax features in admin tools.
