    feeder b802 ardf jamming

    getting jam codes j056 and j053 on an aficio mp c3500. original feed belt is very worn. gonna replace all original feed rollers. is there anything else i should look out for with these jam codes? thanx

      Besides a clutch, make sure the sensor pits are clean of paper dust. The black flocking will start to get white and throw off the sensors. Dont forget the one from the bottom of the adf at the reg sensor (remove 2 screws).

        Go ahead and replace the pickup and reverse roller at the same time. Take a look at the torque limiter to check if it has a crack in it. Clean the sensors and pay close attention to the one at the rear when you open the ADF cover. It looks down into a little cupped area that has a tendency to collect paper dust and cause intermittent misfeed indications.

            The separation tire is the main cause of DF jams on pretty much all Ricohs. I carry the Feed belt & Separation tire in my tool bag.
