AF3025/3030/3035/3045- scan to folder cannot implement on win7

Hi, I have Af3025/3030/3035/3045 cannot setup SMB scan to folder on win 7, but for win XP no problem. I heard that we have to update the firmware. Is it true? How to update? where can i get the firmware. Thanks

there are threads here about scan to folder in windows 7 and it helped a lot. try to read it.

Download latest firmware for scan from Ricoh support, and try typing the path as follows, \\ip address of computer\folder name. This usually works

Ricoh-support.com, but you will need engineers log in, account and password.

Go to "Network and Sharing Center" -> "Change Advanced Sharing Settings" -> Select "Turn off password protected sharing"

It's the only way to get older models to work. Here's your primer once again:

NTLMv2 and SMB2 use a higher encryption method and smaller range of communication methods respectively. Every Ricoh machine from the 3xxx series on (the ones that don't use 'password' as the default for the web interface) are capable of NTLMv2 via firmware upgrades. The xxx1 series boxes all have NTLMv2 natively.

For all of you trying to get the older boxes to scan, make a call to your local tech, have the firmware installed and scan away!
