    My Gestetner 3255

    I recently acquired this machine through my church. It is an older model (obviously) and it seemed to work fine until it ran out of toner. I have replace the toner and it seemed to load perfectly. The next time I used it, it printed about 100 pages when the toner light came back on. I checked the toner bottle, took it out of the machine, gently shook it back and forth and replaced it. For some reason the toner will not load. Does anyone have any advise? I am really stuck here.

      I would test the toner add motor in output mode and if it is working I would replace the toner end sensor. That is the sensor at the entrance of the toner hopper right under the area where toner drops from the bottle.

              Basic gist of it - call an engineer in dude.
              It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

              Hit it.

                          Make sure the bottle cap isn't stuck & that the chuck that grabs it is opening up when you swing the assy. out.
