MPC7500 not adding tonor

Hi
Have got an mpc7500 that was not adding tonor so washed out copies. Turned out to be the small driver board on the back of the tonor hopper assy. that had gone, Unsure why the board has gone and was wondering if anyone has had the same, dont really want to take out the replacement board as well !!

Most of the problems I'vd seen in this area is the clutches in the toner hopper freeze up and force too much toner into the dev unit. If they do they may also take the driver board. Worth a check on the clutches anyway to see if they are getting tight.

We were thinking along the same lines, the clutches all seem ok so will probably take the plunge and fit the replacement board. its just that i always think something must have caused the board to fail since the electronics are so reliable these days !!
