How do you reser the NIC on a Ricoh MPC2550SPF? Yes, my mind has gone blank. It has a solid green and solid red light. The customer lost 2 computer in a lightening strike. I know this is part of that. Ricoh did not send them a surge suppresor.

Reset it how? If the green and amber lights are on, the NIC itself is working and it's detecting the network. What symptoms are you getting?

With regards to the surge protectors, that's down to the customer to provide.

solid green. solid red. no amber. pings (ping aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd -t) for about a minute the looses connection. In the Sharp's you can reset the NIC, I just can't remember how to clear the NIC in a Ricoh. I want to try this before chargingt the customer for a new card and network setup. Just trying to save them money.

SP Mode 5801-011 (NCS Clear) will reset the NIC to default.

Did you try to connect your laptop with a crossover to the machine??
How can you be so sure that isnt a broken switch??
