[Misc] RR Mpc 3000 Yellow toner registration error

Im currently at a deadend troubleshooting a Mpc 3000 regaring toner registration.
I'll try and describe thoroughly.

The machine has been working perfectly for a couple of years now, until recently.
error msg: replace yellow toner cartridge(the toner is approx 80%full), toner from independent supplier installed/detected (can't remember correctly, and the machine is a two hour drive from the office)

What i have tried: Vaccumed the entire outside of the toner and the toner slot in the machine. Gone into service mode SP-5 and turned 5051 off (Tonerrefildetection)
The service mode option helped for about 10minutes. so it is a reacurring error.

Im not sure what parts i have to change to troubleshoot with or generally how to solve the problem.
Oh, and i have tried changing the toner cartridge with a new one.

Any help would be appreciated !

Hi, have you had the back off the machine and cleaned the Toner End Sensor and to look at the Toner supply tube ,they may be blocked.(Page 153 in Athena C-1 Service Manual).

This is my sugestion... replace the Toner Pump Unit

with this kind of problem these are the things that you can do. remove the yellow pump unit and the tube. clean it properly especially the tube you have to vacuum or blow air into it. now if this doesnt solve the problem then you have to check the Yellow toner clutch wich is located at the back of the machine.

Generally with these models, the clutch fails on the pump. You can use the yellow pump (B223 3252) or black (B223 3251), the only difference is the hose attached (which I generally discard). Once installed (remove the pcu's and ITB to access them), you may have to cycle the machine several times to bring it to ready. FYI, the Magenta and Cyan pumps are identical also. the difference between them and the BK/Yellow pumps is the angle of the hose nipple on the housing.

sir,

Replace the toner bottle clutch.
This is the clutch that is built into the toner supply drive unit.
For the three colors, it is a common part, but there is a separate part number for Bk.
B2233428 (CMY)
B2233455 (BK)

and or
Replace Toner Attraction Pump (Yellow).

So i figured it out, after much trial and error. it was the Toner nozzle, back of the machine, it was cloged up. so it was neither the pump unit or the tube. Learned alot from it, and i appretiate all the feedback. could not have done it without it

just go through input/output check & check yellow toner supply motor, clutch, toner end sensor then find the fault

I agree,I have had 2 m/cs doing this and it has been the motor/clutch.
