VoIP setup on old Savin 4027

Does anyone have a workaround to make this old relic a viable fax machine using VoIP. Have tried lowering baud rate but to no avail also made sure the line was set to analog. Tech support said it was not viable to try beacuse of the architecture. But I have faith in one of you wizzards have a solution. Thanks in advance.

Turn off ECM and if the mode is JBIG, change it to MMR. I have a few were the baud rate must be set to 48k for the fax to function on a digital network. You can also call the customers ISP and tell them they are trying to use the line for fax. They can eliminate some of the compression on the line. Analog "mode" is a simulated analog line, still digital behind the wall. Are they using a filter inline?
