Not overly familiar with this model but I'll have a go.

I'm assuming when you say you are getting a double image on yellow, you mean that the yellow component of the image is repeated further down the copy (suggesting a fault with either the yellow cleaning unit and/or erase lamp) rather than a colour registration error where the yellow component of the image isn't printed in the same position as the other 3 on a Full Colour copy, suggesting a fault with the transfer belt and/or MUSIC/ID Sensors and/or belt timing sensor.

If you do a single colour copy only on yellow, do you get the same double image effect?

If so check the quench/erase lamps for the yellow drum, check that they aren't coated with toner and check that they are lit during machine operation by tricking the front door.

Also, I don't know if the drum units are interchangeable between colours like the MPC3500/4500 but just as a quick experiment, what happens when the machine is showing the fault and you actually swap the yellow drum with say the cyan or magenta? If the fault moves with the drum then you've at least narrowed it down to a specific unit, if it doesn't move then at least you know you are looking elsewhere.
