    df 3030 on a MP2550

Was getting an intermittent DF jams 6-8 months ago. Cleaned all sensors and away it went. Was in yesterday and on a test it became more interrmittent that it would jam more than not.

Getting an 03 skew correction sensor jam. It seemed to me that it was a pick up problem and not every page will jam, it will sometimes get in inch fed, sometimes next to nothing then it will feed no problem other times. I cleaned all sensors, replaced feed belt and sep roller but still the same. I took the torque limiter off and the machine will feed single sheets all day long once removed but will jam as soon as put back on.

This led me to order the torque limiter but I have just got back to the odffice and tried their torque limiter on our office machine and it works O.K?!?!?!

    anyone had any similar problems?

    cheers

There is a TSB from RICOH about this. The long and short of it is Replace the DF Feed clutch, shaft and brass bushings. This will clear it up. In a pinch you can polish the shaft and busshing inner diameters but you should replace them.

Will post PN's in a second.

it is buried in the "Accessories" listing under DF3030. I had a hard time finding it as well.

I'm going back in the morning with my torque limiter not that this is going to do much on your advise but its 3 hours away and I'm already going up there tomorrow for another go so I'll pop in with that anyway coz wont have time to order those parts.

Ill give it a quick look at the clutch area and see if I can get it working in the mean time.

will let you know how I get on, (found the bullitin now)

              cheers

as expected the torque limiter didnt fix it, it was the clutch after all. robbed in out of our office machine and took it with me thank god....saves my another 3 hour journey!

                cheers
