I have an mpc4500 that creates a light blue (cyan) background when making a copy. Prints are fine.
Have tried a different CCD, no help. Any ideas welcome.
I have seen the issue you are referring to only on toshiba models. The scanner picks up a blue from the actual colour of he original paper. The give away is the blanking border around the page. If this is the problem you face then i think there is background adjustments for the scanner.
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. ~Thomas Edison

I bet someone has done a NVram reset at some point, get out the default sheet in front cover and check all valuse, particularly the shading correction and CCD related ones, I have fixed this situation before by going thru this process. Also FYI NEVER do a NVM reset without a backup first and only do it as a lsat resort. We have some guys who think its fixes everything - wrong.
There is a tsb on this issue. I ran into it multiple times. BUT I don't rcall tsb # or shock sp to adjust. 2 sp's in scanner sp become changed for some reason. I will report back tommorrow nite with them but in the meantime ypu can get the "birth certificate" usually hiding under the front most cover instructions label and set all SCANNER sp's back to OEM default.
