You know something toner? I'm looking at the printer cofig sheet and it has IEEE802.1X (auth) *Active

I dont know why I didnt see this before. But it looks promising.
If this is the cause, I am going to open a can of whoop-ass on somebody!

Here is the answer. They had the wireless option turned on, option not installed but turned on.. Symptoms make perfect sense when you know the answer. Thanks TonerMunkeh.

Did you ever manage to open that can of whoop-ass? I'm asking because I'm having an MPC2050 with random SC991 and SC997 mainly when using the scan function, although since they're printing OK, I'm assuming it probably isn't the same situation you had.

Are you running Equitrac on it?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

            Hit it.

Nope, but it has a fax option on it. I've already instructed my colleagues to check the boards connections and see if the firmware is up-to-date, but any other tips are most welcome.
