    DSM 745 scanning

    Hey guys,

    trying to set up scanning on a dsm 745. When i go to scan i can select the workgroup, then i can select the computer but then it tells me "password entered is incorrect".
    It then prompts for log in username and password, which i enter correctly and it says "specified path incorrect". I have the shared folder set up in the C drive of the pc and all the permissions are correct.

    Any ideas what i might be doing wrong??

      What is the operating system on the computer? Scan to Folder Setup.pdf Here are some windows 7 tips. also, check the firewall settings. try turning the firewall off to see if it lets you through and then turn it back on and set the copier as an exception.

          Hi, thanks for the reply. The computer is using windows vista. As in the guide you posted all the steps work as far as where it lists the shared folders on the computer. The folder is properly shared though as i can put files in it from another computer. I will route around with the firewall tomorrow. Is there any particular setting in the firewall i need to turn off?
