Have a problem that I just can't seem to fix. I get this error every time I send to print from my Mac on the screen of the printer. "Paper size/type mismatch. Change setting to: 11 x 17 plain/recycled." I does this regardless what size I print from. Letter or tabloid. To fix this I just go on the screen and hit the Form Feed key twice and then the OK key once and it prints. I went into the printer's Menu-Paper Input and I have every thing in Auto Detect. I'm using letter size in the Tray 1, tabloid in Tray 2 and bottom tray has letter. Any ideas where I have the wrong setting? Thanks.

Re: Ricoh SP C811 Paper Mismatch error
paper size info for print jobs is sent with the print job itself so I would guess the problem is in the print job paper size setup on the computer end.Don't take that toner with me! -
Re: Ricoh SP C811 Paper Mismatch error
I have run across this issue, changed the settings in Print Settings and still had the same issue, if u do that and the settings dont stick delete than re-download print drivers. make sure you print out the settings to save yourself from a headacheComment

Re: Ricoh SP C811 Paper Mismatch error
Thanks for the reply. The error comes from any program that I use. I double ck the setting in the print dialogue of my Mac and also the Page Setup and everything looked right. I tried to print again and still the same problem. Now I went into the Menu of the printer again and changed the paper type to Plain Paper and it worked! ......few minutes back tinkering with the machine.....But in the end I think you are right. I went back to the Mac and looked to see where I can change the paper type setting and found it under Printer Features then General 3. One final question. I use Bond 24 for paper because down here the Bond 20 is very low quality and comes out very curdled. Should I set the paper type on my Mac to Letterhead or Middle Thick?Comment

Re: Ricoh SP C811 Paper Mismatch error
Bond 20 has a metric equivalent paper weight of 75.2 gsm so using the plain paper setting would be fine. Bond 24's metric equivalent is 90.3 gsm, although this would probably be OK you may have offsett issues, to avoid this use the Middle Thick setting.Comment

Re: Ricoh SP C811 Paper Mismatch error
Great! Thanks for the info. You know there was a new thread about how bad the Ricoh machines are. I basically bought this machine to print out a 100 copies of a newsletter 4 times a year. What it was costing me locally (Caribbean) will pay for the machine in a year (got in on eBay new but with problems, still great price). I'm only on my second set of toners and I hope I can get a lot of use from it!Comment
