[Error Code] Reocurring sc542 on ricoh pro 1106

We have a Pro 1106 that has had a reoccurring problem with SC542. We have replaced the thermisters, thermostats, etc.. with no success. We even installed a Buck Booster transformer to maintain proper voltage and it still pops this code. Anyone have any ideas as to how we can resolve this problem? We are seeing it on a number of different machines.

As far as I am aware all three are turning on. I'll have to get this verified though. Will doing a continuity chck on each lamp confirm this?

this sc code will always be on the thermistor, thermostat can also from the pwer supply/source. Make it sure that you have used the new one and the alignment is proper. other machine like mp7001 has same problem but changing the thermistor(also the bracket) with the modified one caN solve the problem . imho

Rebuild the Fuser. if it still pop the code. try another Power-Sup.

We had the same problem. it ended up that we change the Fuser/Power-sup/Bicu/NwRam.

SC541	Heating roller thermistor error 1	1. Check if the heating roller thermistor is firmly connected. 2. Replace the heating roller thermistor. 3. Replace the thermopile.
SC542	Heating roller warm-up error 1	1. Check if the heating roller thermistor is firmly connected. 2. Replace the thermistor. 3. Check or replace the thermopile. 4. Replace the heating roller lamp.
SC543	Heating roller fusing lamp overheat 1 (software error)	1. Replace the PSU. 2. Replace the IOB. 3. Replace the BICU.
SC544	Heating roller fusing lamp overheat 1 (hardware error)
SC545	Heating roller fusing lamp consecutive full power 1	Replace the heating roller thermistor.
