[Jamming] Paper jam sign is not getting reset

Hi Guys

I do have a problem in Afficio 2045e, as whenever paper get jammed in area (C) fusing unit the paper got removed the paper jam sign wont reset even by switching off and on the device.

We have changed the related sensors and also we have checked the covers switches and it is all fine even we have changed it with new one.

We have changed the I\O board and power supply board as well as controller board and NVRAM, the problem still not solved.

Only by clearing the NVRAM the jam sign will get reseted but the moment paper jams happened in fusing area ONLY same iisue it wont get reset unless clearing the NVRAM done.

The harnesses are all fine as well.

Kindly advice.

how it is going to help if we change the pressure roller, after removing the paper the sign is not reset.

ok, you are right, excuse me.
sensors on separation unit are replaced?aw010049.keep out all link cushion on sep. unit.

Sounds like you might have a problem with the sensor in the paper separation unit as xordi69 suggested(item 22 in the parts breakdown). You get to it by pulling the entire scanner off the machine and removing the cover over the top(not really a big thing). I have had problems with this sensor in the past.

Are all of the front and side interlocks functioning? If any are not changing state when opening, the device will not clear the jam code.

at logging data, where is the last jam?
all switches on the front door and transfer door are changed?

Check the wiring of the switches in the front door. The wiring not the switches.compare it with a working m/c.

check 3 switches above the fusing unit ( front door).

guy, the switchs cables was changed, and i have also checked the switchs connection on off, all are working.

I've seen this before!

The switches are working, but are wired in the wrong order!

You have to check the connections using the point to point diagram. (A 5)

If in the wrong order the "L" connection will not ground at cn201 on the IOB (F 7) and will not reset the jam.

Check that CN403 -1 goes to common on the 3 way switch, then fit the 2 way switches.

the problem is 3 switches above the fusing unit. just cute the wire for the middle one and make short circuit .. the problem goes away. i hade the same exact problem
