    [Misc] 3245c controller in 3235c = sc995

Swapped nvram. The dip switches are set the same. I even swapped the dimms and that blue sd card.

Controller boards are different between the models.

    3228c - B2025781
    3235c - B1785781
    3245c - B1805781

Apparently 995 is an incorrect BICU dip switch setting. You changed the BICU too?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

Is that the board just behind the controller? If so then yes. A capacitor fell off it.

So this is what happened. I got a machine in and it was throwing 672 so I so I took out the controller and then I see the a capacitor laying there. It came of the board behind the controller. So I took that board out of a 45 and put it in which worked fine in the 35. Still getting 672. So upon examine the controller the bottom DIMM is not seated correctly (someone squished the little notch into the slot so the ram won't fit in there now).

So I took that DIMM out and and one of the hard drives is bad.

I really don't trust the controller at this point so I just wanted to pop another one in there, but the old board will work with only 1 512 dimm in there and if I throw in a couple HD's so I guess I may just do that.

Its a shame, the machine has 20K on it 5K color.
