    AF 1035 black bands

    Everyone,

I've got an AF1035 that has twice popped the pressure spring on the cleaning blade giving the copies bands where the blade doesn't pick up the toner.
Both times, one end of the spring is fine, but the other end looks as if one or two of its spirals have been pulled out of place. About 10,000 pages were run between the two springs popping, and the device itself has over two million clicks on it.
Has anyone seen this or know a way to prevent that spring from breaking?

    springs

I had n af1035 that was doing the same thing. This machine also had a about 2 million copies. Replace the entire pcu unit.
Like the United States Postal Service It's a miracle it works!

Thanks for the reply. I'll see if there's one hanging around the office in ood shape. This is the first one of these I've seen over a million so anything lying around should be in better shape. I really doubt the bosses will let me order an entire unit. I'll probably end up refurbing a top frame.
