This problem in Aficio 2045 makes me crazy. Paper jams intermittently when you set it in letter size landscape but no jam error when you set it in A4 landscape or portrait. Paper size is set correctly both in user tools and in paper size dial. I already cleaned the feed clutch, transport rollers, replaced feeding rollers, and cleaned registration sensor and registration roller. I have also noticed that when the paper is feeding in I can hear a crumpling sound. Need insights on this issue.Thanks!

Does it do it from all trays? You tried a new torque limiter? Registration buckle might need a tweak too.It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

Tray 1 is working fine.Only tray 2 has a problem when letter size setting is set. I interchange the torque limiter of both feeding unit but same problem occurs in tray 2.
Actually, only A4 papers are used in this machine. Since the program used by the client requires letter size setting for printing, A4 paper is set as letter size in the paper size dial in tray 2.
Using tray 1 with the same setting as discussed above, the machine is working fine.Comment
