Are the cl7100 and cl7200 transfer units interchangable?

    Re: Transfer units

It looks like the CL7200/7300 transfer unit ' may ' be backwards compatible with CL7100 but not the other way around.

The CL7200/7300 has a additional belt mark H.P sensor, the CL7100 does not (hence it simply wouldn't use it).
The wiring looks identical apart from that.

    I've not tried personally though.

I was asking about the entire transfer unit, not just the belt.

The reason I asked is that I stuck a 7100 transfer unit into a 7200 and it coded immediately. I was trying to figure out if the transfer unit was bad, or just wasn't compatible. I have gone in a different direction with the machine anyways. Thanks for the reply.
