[Misc] TD Initialization result " failed"

Have you guys encountered a failed result of TD initialization on MP 5000 upon initializing new developer? Any advice would be of great help. Thanks

Did you cover the toner entrance hole of the developer with a piece of paper before doing SP2-801? Otherwise used toner can enter the development unit during initialization. After SP2-801 you can remove the paper.

Make sure you have the current Engine firmware (1.03.05), there was an update to correct this issue (see attached TB). Also, in regards to Erics response, this is from the manual >

Place a piece of paper [G] over the toner entrance hole. This prevents used toner
falling from the drum unit into the development unit during the TD sensor initial setting
and interfering with the Vref setting (toner density reference voltage)
