MP2550 fax beeps,doesn't show up

Hi,I have a 2550 which did not have a fax now it does. The fax works in another machine,but not this one.It beeps twice and has no user tool or SP selection.
Help!

Have you set the jumper to on or reseat the fax unit. The machine may issue SC819, SC820 if the jumper is not set to "ON" correctly.(sometimes these SC codes are not issued.)

If you go step by step by the installation procedure you should be OK. It explains about the jumper setting and such.

The connector on the MBU (the small PCB) can partially pull away from the FCU (the larger PCB) when handling.
That would result in the fax option not loading / being recognized.

Just need to re-seat it / push it down.
