    Aficio MP 2000 LN - can not print from Windows 7 (x64)

    Hi,

    I've got a problem with RICOH Aficio MP 2000LN machine.
    It is now connected to a medium network with all computers working with Windows XP Pro (x86). Installed driver is the latest DDST ver. 0.93. Everything works flawlessly.
    The IP address is static. TCP port is 10001. Print queue is RAW.

    Recently we recieved some new machines preinstalled with Windows 7 (x64) Pro. The same version of the DDST Driver for Windows 7 (x64) doesn't work. I mean that the job is placed into the spoooler of the computer and resides there till the timeout occurs - about 10 minutes. After that the job disappears and on the MP2000 there is nothing - nor pages, nor message, nor error.

    Any help is appreciated.

    p.p. I have no service manual, user guide or any other hardcopy documentation for the copier.

      reflash to the newest firmware level is the next step.

          Thanks Jomama46,

          unfortunately I've not any idea how to check what is the firmware in the MP2000 and where to get the new one from? In the RICOH web site there is no firmware files at all - for the public download. What will be the procedure for reflashing if I find a new firmware binary? The embedded web site is also very basic - nothing about the machine except the serial no.

              Firmware levels will be listed in the smc list SP7801, I think. BICU is up to D and GDI w/ nic is at H. You need not just the firmware but a special Program to load the bin file onto a specially formatted flash memory card.
              I think you are in over your head and need to call a tech.

                  I had this issue yesterday when I installed this MFD, use the PCL6 driver for windows 7 x64. Once i installed that driver the MFD started printing ok.

                  DDST driver didn't work for me..
