    HELP MPC-3000 SC995 ( Not clearing )

    Hi Everyone

I cannot seem to solve an issue with this MPC 3000 machine. it started with SC555 constantly, even after sc reset 5810 so i changed the PSU, and reset the SC in service Mode.
So that did not help cause i now have SC995 which says refit the original controller board on the service manual.

i have since refit the original PSU, i have put on another controller board unit complete from a working MPC 3000, i have formatted the HDD and done M.A.C and still no luck

    Can Somebody Please help

    From the Guide of Goose...

SC 555 Heat roller lamp on full power - A level code, reset with SP5-810
SC 555 Heat roller lamp on full power - check lamp with meter, replace as needed
SC 555 Heat roller lamp on full power - replace PSU
SC 995 Controller board mismatch - Wrong controller installed
SC 995 Controller board mismatch - replace IO board
SC 995 Controller mismatch error - NVRAM defective
SC 995 Controller mismatch error - install correct controller board
SC 995 Controller mismatch error - see TSB# 003 "Technical Tips" #4 Swapping PCB's between machines
Looks like the nvram could be baked, but that TSB might be worth a look. Especially seeing as you've replaced the PSU already and the correct controller. Have you tried a fresh fuser in it too?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

I would like to thank you for your quick reply and tips.

I replaced the I/O board and that sorted the problem :-) thanks for pointing me in the right direction

The DIP switch on the BCU is
incorrectly set. then turn off machine and turn on or try to raise switch number 3
