    Aficio SP C232 SF

I don't know anything about Ricoh I'm a KonicaMinolta tech, I just swapped out this Ricoh and I'm keeping it for myself.

I'm trying to set up scan to folder and can't do anything becuase I don't know the Web Monitor's password. I tried some defualt ones I found online and nothing takes.

What is the defualt password for this model?

    Thanks,

Generally Ricoh user admin for user name and nil (as in leave blank) for password. For their copiers anyway, would assume its the same on the printer although I don't like to assume. If admin doesn't work then the default has been changed. You can try logging in as supervisor, which is the same method as above, just use supervisor for the user name instead, here you can change the admin password. If supervisor has had a password added then you are out of luck.

At least for the printer version of this machine (SP C232DN), the web interface credentials are:

      User Name: Admin
      Password: (blank)

The main difference from the larger GW MFP's is they use a lower case 'a' in admin instead of the capital for the user name.

In the Web Image Monitor I don't see a Username field, I only see a Password Field. I punch in the Ip address of my machine and Web Image Monitor comes up, if a try to create a scan to folder ( One Touch) on the bottom of the page it requests a passord. Also under the Admin tab in Image Montor I see a fields to change passwords only, I don't see a username fields.

Thamks for your help, much appreciated.

The Administrator password for the spc232sf is left blank as default. It can be configured after the fact but just try entering your settings and select submit. What's confusing is the printer version (spc232dn) has 2 fields when logging in, username = "Admin", password is left blank. These kind of inconsistencies are what drives a tech nuts.
If the password has been changed to an unknown, you can reset it as follows using the "Reseller default"....

The "Reseller Default" menu can be entered directly at power-on. If you want to
enter this mode directly, try the following procedure SPC 232SF Reset Password.
          1. Power OFF the unit.
          2. Power ON the unit while holding down the “Copy” key.
          3. Continue to hold down the “Copy” key until the display indicates “Factory Default
          Execute”.
          4. Release the “Copy” key.
          5. Press the Down Arrow, the display will change to “Factory Default Execute”.
          6. Press the OK key.
          7. The machine will display “Executing” and will perform a soft boot.
          8. When the unit returns to the ready condition, reboot by turning the Main Switch
          OFF and then ON.
          9. Set Language, Fax Number, Name and Country.
          10. Reboot the machine.

            Re: Aficio SP C232 SF

Thanks, I just tried that no luck I think the password has been changed. Is there a way to clear the machine and bring it back to defualts, Konica boxes have a way to do which I don't like to do becuase it resets my meters counts. But this machine is for personal use so I don't care, I just want to set up scanning do you have any other suggestions.

            Thanks

I had modified my post a few times and you may have missed the procedure I added at the end to reset the password. This will not reset the meters or serial number.
